A leading health system in Northern New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA), with an Electrophysiology background to join its Cardiac Services team at a nationally ranked medical center. This is a great opportunity to provide vital support to a high-volume cardiac unit while additional full-time staff are onboarded.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP (temporary privileges available for faster start)
- Shift: Full-time
- Schedule: 3 x 12.5-hour shifts/week (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM); flexible days
- Saturdays: Currently not required
- Setting: Inpatient Electrophysiology/Cardiac
- Patient Load: 14–20 patients per day
- Duration: Ongoing with opportunity to transition to per diem model
Responsibilities:
- Managing pre- and post-operative care for EP patients
- Handling hospital admissions and discharges
- Collaborating closely with Electrophysiologists and Cardiologists
- Supporting post-ablation and LAAO device implant follow-up
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in Electrophysiology / Cardiac Care
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NJS Physician Assistant (PA) license
- ALCS / BLS certifications
- Strong clinical background in pre/post-procedural Cardiac Care
- Proficiency in managing EP patients
- Ability to work independently and handle fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a high-volume Cardiology and/or Surgical Unit
- Familiarity with EP-specific post-op recovery protocols
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude
