Seeking a Power BI Developer who supports a business line within the People Analytics function by developing scalable, self-sustaining Power BI dashboards and reports using HR-related data (e.g., headcount, DEI, turnover, performance). The analyst will work directly with stakeholders to understand business needs, build impactful reporting solutions, and maintain what they create. Strong Power BI and data modeling skills, along with excellent stakeholder communication, are essential.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with HR stakeholders to gather and understand reporting needs specific to people metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, DEI, performance).
- Design, develop, test, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Deliver visually appealing and user-friendly reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Apply data visualization best practices and promote consistency in reporting standards across teams.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure data quality and dashboard integrity.
- Maintain ownership of the solutions built, providing support and iteration as needed.
- Collaborate with other teams within the HR analytics function to ensure alignment with broader data strategies.
- Independently manage development work; hiring manager is non-technical and will rely on the analyst’s expertise.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement, scalability, and project delivery discipline.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years in a business-facing analytics or reporting role.
- At least 1 year of hands-on Power BI experience, including use of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (7+ years).
- Strong command of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve Power BI performance issues.
- Able to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working with HR-related data is preferred.
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience with Workday reporting or Workday Prism Analytics is a plus.
- Familiarity with additional tools like Looker, Tableau, or other BI platforms is helpful but not required.
- Power BI Data Analyst or Power Platform certifications are a bonus.
- Experience supporting HR or People Analytics teams or working with sensitive demographic and DEI data is a strong asset.
- Ability to push back professionally, maintain a polished presence with stakeholders, and drive conversations toward solution-oriented outcomes.
