This role involves documenting key technology processes and rendering them into workflows that can be understood by a wide range of stakeholders. The specialist will play a crucial role in our roadmap for migrating from SAP BPC to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Responsibilities
- Process Documentation: Document key technology processes and create workflows using Visio or PowerPoint.
- Migration Roadmap: Develop and document the roadmap for migrating from SAP BPC to SAP Analytics Cloud, addressing technical challenges, cost implications, and business readiness.
- Technical Analysis: Understand and analyze technical challenges related to migration, including changes in codeblock and technology.
- Cost Analysis: Evaluate the cost implications of migrating sooner versus later.
- Business Readiness: Assess business readiness to migrate, resistance to change, and ability to standardize processes to reduce the number of solutions in the future SAC landscape.
- FP&A Implications: Understand the FP&A implications of any people or process changes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with assigned team members who are knowledgeable about our BPC solutions and liaise with other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Master Data Governance: Document the Master Data Governance process, particularly with the new codeblock and FP&A.
- Governance Communication: Develop and communicate a governance process around a “self-service” SAC landscape.
- Visual Storytelling: Create visuals that effectively tell a story and make sense to both IT and FP&A teams.
- Leading Practices: Bring leading practices to the team and discuss potential improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in documenting technology processes and creating workflows using Visio or PowerPoint.
- SAP Expertise: Solid understanding of SAP technology, including SAP BPC and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- FP&A Knowledge: Strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Multi-Dimensionality / Star Schema Technology, Finance Transformation, and Data Mapping.
- Communication Skills: Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to write comprehensive guides and create clear visuals.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to understand and analyze technical and cost implications, as well as business readiness and FP&A impacts.
- Collaboration: Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying challenges and communicating them early in the process.
