A leading professional services firm is currently seeking a highly skilled Professional Coder to join their team in a Remote capacity. This position will focus on addressing a significant coding backlog within Primary Care and Specialty Services, offering the right candidate an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Remote role
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm (EST)
Responsibilities:
- Performing front-end professional coding based on clinical documentation
- Reviewing and resolving post-submission work queues and edits
- Coding new encounters, including operative reports and office visit notes (CPT, Dx)
- Applying accurate, compliant coding practices for procedural and E/M coding
- Ensuring proper code selection and avoiding denials or rework
Qualifications:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC, CCS-P, CCS)
- Minimum 5 years of professional coding experience
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding
- Proficiency in Epic PB, especially Charge Review Work Queues
- Understanding of CCI edits and bundling rules
- Availability to work in Eastern or Central time zones
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills

- Additional years of experience
- Additional Revenue Cycle or specialty coding certifications
- Strong expertise in coding practices
- Ability to work independently
