A respected health and human services organization in Huntington, NY is seeking a skilled and dedicated Program Director to lead and oversee their substance use and co-occurring disorders program. This individual will provide leadership, strategic direction, and ensure the effective delivery of services aimed at improving the recovery and well-being of clients.

About the Oppotunity:

  • Assignment Length: Temp to perm
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (one evening shift per week; TBD)
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm (1pm to 9pm during evening shift)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of the program, ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Supervise and support clinical staff, including therapists and counselors
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective program operations
  • Monitor program performance and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Conduct staff meetings and provide ongoing supervision and training
  • Collaborate with external agencies and service providers to coordinate care
  • Manage the program budget and resources efficiently
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with organizational standards
  • Participate in case conferences and ensure effective treatment planning for clients
  • Promote a positive work environment and foster a team-oriented atmosphere

Qualifications:

  • Clinical licensee (LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent) required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and staff development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and maintain a supportive work environment

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), Psychology, or related field
  • Experience in a Behavioral Health and/or Substance Use role/setting
  • Knowledge of OASAS regulations and compliance standards
