A retail services company in New Jersey is actively seeking a new Project Manager to join their growing team. In this role, the Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing complex technology projects across multiple business units.
About the Opportunity:

- Setting: Remote or Hybrid (to East Rutherford, NJ)
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for POS and payment system implementations, upgrades, and migrations
- Create, manage, and maintain detailed project documentation including project plans, business requirements, technical specifications, and status reports
- Manage vendors and third-party service providers to ensure adherence to project scope, timelines, and budgets
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes
- Drive and facilitate effective change management strategies across all impacted teams and stakeholders
- Conduct impact assessments and ensure clear communication of changes to operations, IT, and business teams
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure seamless execution of tasks and deliverables
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Operations, and Retail
- Conduct regular follow-ups on action items, dependencies, and outstanding issues to maintain project momentum
- Ensure quality assurance and testing processes are followed throughout the project lifecycle
- Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and report KPIs and milestones to leadership
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Project Management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience managing system migrations and working with payment processors, POS hardware/software, and retail or hospitality systems
- Experience with vendor selection, contracts, and performance oversight
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Trello)
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills:
- PMP, CSM, or other relevant certifications
- Experience in the retail, hospitality, or QSR industries
- Familiarity with PCI compliance and secure payment standards
