Psychiatrist (Locums)
A healthcare network is actively seeking a compassionate Psychiatrist to join their team on a locums basis. The Hospital Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with mental health disorders.
About the Opportunity
- Schedule: Full-time, typically Monday–Friday; on-call possible
- Specialty: Adult Psychiatry
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care providers.
- Participate in treatment planning and discharge processes.
- Maintain timely documentation in EMR.
Qualifications
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted state license.
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Preferred: Experience in hospital-based psychiatry or consultation-liaison.
