A recognized health services network in New York City is actively seeking a new Psychotherapist for a great Fee-for-Service opportunity to join one of their growing outpatient mental health clinics in the Bronx. In this role, the Psychotherapists will be responsible for working on a hybrid basis while providing essential mental health services to underserved youth.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Flexible; Must commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week (weekdays and/or Saturdays)
- Setting: Hybrid (onsite with some remote flexibility)
- Clinic: Outpatient Mental Health
- Patient Population: Adolescent / Children
Responsibilities:
- Carry a part-time caseload providing individual, group, and family therapy to youth ages 3–18 (and some up to 23 in foster care)
- Conduct intakes, mental health assessments, and screenings for trauma and safety concerns
- Provide hybrid (in-person + telehealth) psychotherapy services, with priority given to clients requesting in-person care
- Deliver treatment aligned with evidence-based models, including TF-CBT and motivational interviewing
- Participate in crisis intervention rotation; maintain consistent weekly sessions for all assigned clients
- Complete all documentation (intakes, progress notes, treatment plans) in a timely manner; notes due within 24 hours
- Collaborate on treatment planning and participate in high-risk case review when relevant
- Coordinate with staff on client scheduling and follow-up
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related Behavioral Science field
- Active NYS licensure: LMSW, LMHC, or LCAT (LCSW supervision hours available)
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
