A NYC-based nonprofit organization is seeking a Psychotherapist to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive care to youth and families in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 10:30am to 6:30pm or 11am to 7pm or 12pm to 8pm
- Setting: Clinic
- Patient Population: Ages 3 to 18 (Medicaid-eligible)
- Caseload: 28 to 42 patients
Responsibilities:
- Carry a caseload of clients and deliver weekly therapy to youth
- Conduct clinical intakes, mental health assessments, and diagnostic evaluations
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions (30–60 minutes based on modality)
- Participate in on-call crisis rotation; respond to urgent client needs
- Complete all required documentation (intakes, treatment plans, progress notes) within agency timelines (typically 24 hours for notes)
- Conduct ongoing treatment planning and case analysis to support measurable outcomes
- Participate in staff meetings, team case reviews, and ongoing training
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or (Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)
