A human services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team in Manhattan and all 5 boroughs.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Temp to Perm
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (35 hours / week)
- Patient Population: Young Adults
- Patient Volume: 5 to 6 per day
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 80% of medication management and health services in the community, including administering medications (oral and intramuscular), phlebotomy, and providing psychoeducation
- Monitor mental health status and medication adherence, addressing side effects and coordinating care plans
- Collaborate with team medical staff (MD, PNP, LPN) and community providers to support clients' needs
- Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and Medicaid billing standards
- Rotate on the team’s after-hours emergency line as part of shared responsibilities
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Computer savvy
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in Psychiatric Nursing, Substance Use Treatment, or Social Services
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Behavioral and/or Mental Health experience
