About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Onsite at the group home
- Shift: Flexible shifts between M-F, 7a-6p
- Schedule: Full-time, flexible
- Hours: Based on the needs of the group home
- Setting: Residential group home
- On-Call: Yes, rotates among RNs
Responsibilities:
The Group Home RN will be responsible for:
- Providing documented oversight of medical appointments and issues
- Coordinating and monitoring health services
- Training and overseeing direct care staff
- Monitoring care during hospitalizations
- Participating in the residential nursing on-call system
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience, preferably with IDD or group home populations
- NYS Registered Nurse license
- Experience in medical oversight and training
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Empathy and patience
- Flexibility to meet changing departmental needs
- Commitment to continued learning and training
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Additional certifications in healthcare or nursing
- Proficiency in healthcare software systems
- Strong mentoring skills
