A leading healthcare organization in Brooklyn, New York is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for its FQHC Clinics. The position involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality care at two key health centers.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Onsite
- Shift: 4 days / 10 hours per day
- Schedule: Tuesdays and Saturdays (9 AM - 7 PM) at Downtown Brooklyn Health Center; Wednesdays and Fridays (9 AM - 7 PM) at East New York Community Health Center
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Community health centers co-located in residential buildings
Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Coordinating necessary client services with interdisciplinary team members
- Performing specialized care and demonstrating initiative in learning new skills
- Maintaining accurate documentation of nursing activities
- Communicating necessary information to the Nurse Care Coordinator
- Providing emergency care when necessary and maintaining CPR certifications
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
- Registered Nurse, licensed by the State of New York
- Experience with HIV/AIDS, substance use, or mental health populations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Spanish/English preferred
Desired Skills:
- BSN preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
