A health services network in California is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their residential group homes in San Diego County.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Setting: Group Home
- Patient Population: Pediatrics
- Patient Volume: 4 per day
Responsibilities:
- Obtaining information or updates on people supported and reporting on-site for observations and assessments, or to conduct training, as needed
- Collecting data to support assessments of people supported, including taking vital signs, social history, chief complaint(s), and current concern
- Alerting the appropriate community physician to any complaints received by people supported, especially those that are or may be life-threatening, or otherwise notable
- Documenting all calls, correspondence, and encounters with people supported in accordance with established guidelines and within appropriate timelines in electronic systems or on paper, as required by regulations
- Assessing the condition and learning needs of people supported as it relates to their healthcare
- Providing education regarding treatments, special diets, and medications
- Following up on diagnostic tests and healthy lifestyle information
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current CA Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
Desired Skills:
- Experience with individuals with I/DD, Mental Health or related needs and/or individuals in crisis
- Familiarity with California’s Lanterman Act and Title 17 and 22 regulations
