A health services network in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Interventional Radiology team. In this role, the Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of care.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days or Evenings
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4pm or 11am to 7pm
- Setting: Interventional Radiology Unit
Responsibilities:
- Creating an environment that leads to a positive patient care experience by evaluating, planning, and implementing effective plans of care and communicating with both patients and their families.
- Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care in acute or clinic settings.
- Making sound decisions in response to changes in condition/response to treatment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Utilizing the Electronic Health Record to document patient care.
- Effectively coordinating with physicians and team members regarding changes in patient status, symptomatology, results of diagnostic tests, and critical test values.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association
- Computer savvy
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient-oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
