A Long Island-based rehabilitation services network is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their facilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days or Evenings
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm
- Setting: Correctional Facility
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial health assessments and daily sick calls for incarcerated individuals
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by facility healthcare providers
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and basic life support as needed
- Monitor and manage chronic health conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional staff to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies
- Participate in intake screening and assessment of newly incarcerated individuals
- Ensure compliance with Department of Health and correctional healthcare standards
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
