A nonprofit in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse,to help oversee the day-to-day operations of Health Services for foster care, residential, and juvenile justice-involved youth.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- EMR/Charting: MD Land
Responsibilities:
- Provide general medical care and treatment to individuals supported per program, on-site
- Perform physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions
- Provide health evaluations, assessments, and screenings with follow-ups
- Review all Pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing
- Record physical findings based on the patient’s condition
- Develop comprehensive patient care plans by integrating both historical and current health information
- Conduct and assist in medical examinations of youth after incidents
- Provide health education to youth support, including reproductive health education
- Administer medication and treatment, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with the Pediatric population
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Experienced in Medication Administration, First Aid, and Triage
- Previous experience with Case Management
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
