A prominent financial institution is looking for a consultant with strong Reval (ION) expertise to support a time-sensitive project focused on general ledger mapping and platform configuration. This consultant will partner closely with finance and accounting teams to refine the existing Reval environment, ensuring alignment with standard system functionality and improving the consistency of account mappings across multiple entities. The engagement will unfold in two stages: initial support for chart of accounts mapping, followed by a streamlined configuration effort using a dedicated sandbox.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the setup and alignment of chart of accounts with GLs and legal entities tied to newly introduced products
- Oversee enhancements to Reval configuration to simplify workflows and align with best practices
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure a smooth handoff
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of Reval (ION); prior roles in consulting or internal configuration highly desirable
- Solid understanding of hedge accounting and derivatives
- Strong track record maintaining financial data accuracy and compliance in sophisticated environments
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with regulatory financial settings is a plus
