A health services agency in New York City is currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst (Medical Biller) to join their Revenue Cycle Management team in Queens on a full-time basis.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Office
Responsibilities:
- Providing updates and feedback on billing activities to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management,
- Communicating and resolving interruptions in the revenue cycle that prohibit maximized reimbursement
- Providing ongoing focus and reporting on claims reprocess improvement and best practice
- Analyzing and addressing billing denials, determining necessary corrections, and resubmissions
- Developing and maintaining reports, notably denial analysis reports, to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Communicating effectively with insurance payers to resolve issues and secure timely payments
- Supporting team members on specific billing systems and processes
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a Billing or a related field
- Strong experience with Denials Management
- Knowledge of Eligibility and Coordination of Benefits
- Familiarity with Medical Billing software systems, such as Acunetix and Avatar for EHR
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
