An entertainment organization in New Jersey has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a Roku Developer.
***This is a Fully Remote position.***
Responsibilities:
- Partner with fellow Engineers to innovate, develop and scale app architecture
- Lead engineering initiatives that improve developer experience and feature velocity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, scope, and ship new features
- Design, develop and test Roku applications
- Collaborate with Backend Services teams to design and integrate APIs
- Promote best practices in UX/UI appropriate to the platform
- Follow best engineering practices by ensuring unit-test coverage and working with QA on test automations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of professional Software Development experience
- 3+ years of experience developing enterprise level Roku apps
- High proficiency & technical leadership with Bright Script and Scene Graph
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
- Familiarity with the Roku ecosystem, including capabilities, limitations, and best practices across devices
- Solid background writing unit tests
- Comfortable working with Git, Jenkins and Jira
- Familiarity with Jenkins and continuous integration pipelines
- Excellent technical written and spoken communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with NodeJS/Typescript
- Experience with BrighterScript and/or Rooibos
- Experience working with video-on-demand and/or linear video playback
- Experience using GraphQL
- Published 1 or more applications available on Roku
