A tech services company in the Tri-State Area is actively seeking a new SAP Product Owner to join their growing team. In this role, the SAP Product Owner will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of the company’s SAP HCM Core and Organizational Management solutions.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 12+ months
- Setting: Hybrid (occasional onsite in Englewood Cliffs, NJ or the NYC office)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Product Owner for SAP HCM Core and Org Manager modules, owning the product vision, roadmap, and backlog
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and translate business requirements into functional specifications
- Lead agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews) and ensure continuous delivery of value
- Partner with SAP functional and technical teams to design, test, and implement enhancements and integrations
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with HR policies, legal regulations, and audit requirements
- Monitor system performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP Organizational Management, Position Management, and Personnel Administration
- Support change management, training, and communication efforts related to SAP HR solutions
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with SAP HCM, including Organizational Management and Personnel Administration
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environment
- Strong understanding of HR processes, organizational design, and workforce data management
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills:
- Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM)
- Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors
- Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP HR Reporting, or integration with third-party HR tools
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
