An education system in Westchester County is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their facilities in Yonkers as a School Nurse.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 3:30pm
- Patient Population: Elementary, Middle & High School age
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate record keeping and IEP/IFSP goal tracking documentation as required by SED/EI and ESCS policies for quality assurance and accountability purposes
- Perform nursing assessments and provide treatments and nursing care as required
- Respond to and participate in resolving emergency medical situations
- Attend daily clinical status meeting as required
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with Children
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BCLS certification
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Pediatric Nurse certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center
- Experience working with multiple handicapped and/or medically involved children
