A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Senior Mental Health Clinician for a promising opportunity. In this role, the Senior Mental Health Clinician will serve as the lead clinician for approximately 40 clients, providing services 2–5 times per month with a focus on transition planning, harm reduction, and promoting long-term independence in the community.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Temp to Perm
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop transition-focused treatment plans
- Provide direct, community-based support to ACT Lite clients
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure continuity of care
- Attend daily morning meetings (hybrid: virtual + in-person) and participate in team case conferencing
- Complete documentation within 24–48 hours of client interaction
- Participate in on-call rotation (phone-based, rarely involves in-person response)
- Offer training and clinical guidance on best practices and recovery models
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed clinician under ACT guidelines: LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist
- Master's in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience with dually diagnosed individuals
- Solid understanding of harm reduction, recovery, and community-based services
- Strong clinical writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel

- Bilingual in any language a plus not required.
