About the Opportunity
An established public health organization in New York City is hiring a Senior Procurement Analyst to contribute to a transformative data modernization initiative. This effort is focused on strengthening the agency’s data infrastructure and core capabilities to better address the city’s evolving public health needs. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in procurement operations within the Information Technology division, supporting strategic investments that will drive long-term improvements in public health outcomes.
- Role : Senior Procurement Analyst
- Location : Queens County (Fully Onsite)
- Schedule : 8-hour workdays with a 1-hour unpaid meal break
- Length of assignment : Through November 2026
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of procurement activities for a wide range of goods and services.
- Draft, review, and issue complex solicitations such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs); analyze bids and conduct cost/price analyses.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and city procurement regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on procurement status, metrics, and outcomes.
- Serve as a key advisor to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies and procedures.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and program teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Mentor junior procurement staff and contribute to team development.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on problem-solving and organization.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of government procurement regulations and best practices.

- Highly organized with strong time-management capabilities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in government procurement or a related field.
- Experience in a large, complex organization is preferred.
