A recognized insurance company in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their Procurement and Supplier Management team as a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist.

***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 days a week.***

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in IT Professional Services, including application development, testing, production support, automation, robotics, and process improvement.
  • Lead negotiations and contracting efforts for IT services, ensuring alignment with business goals and maximizing ROI.
  • Review, draft, and manage complex technology and service contracts
  • Analyze procurement data—cost analysis, benchmarking, spend data, and competitive bids—to inform strategic decisions
  • Lead supplier selection using RFx tools, managing the full sourcing lifecycle and timeline
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships through best practices in onboarding, performance reviews, and renewals
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with organizational objectives
  • Create and implement annual sourcing and cost management plans in collaboration with sourcing leadership
  • Provide oversight for enterprise-wide sourcing projects, from initiation through execution
  • Support the Sourcing Manager and Director with strategic initiatives and special projects

Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supplier Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in RFP Development, Supplier Selection, and Contract Negotiation
  • Possess deep knowledge of the IT Professional Services vendor landscape, including onshore, nearshore, and offshore providers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong customer-focused consulting skills
  • Advanced negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated

Desired Skills:

  • Certified Purchasing Supply Manager (CPSM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with eProcurement systems (e.g., Workday, Icertis, Cognos).
  • Familiarity with procurement in Healthcare, Legal, Finance, and Technology sector
