A nonprofit organization in New York City is actively seeking a new Senior Substance Use Specialist to join their growing team.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Field
Responsibilities:
- Provide client-centered care using evidence-based approaches for substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized service plans, and monitor progress
- Deliver therapeutic interventions including individual and group counseling as needed
- Support staff in integrating recovery-focused and trauma-informed care into practice.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment models and service enhancements.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Participate in internal case reviews, team meetings, and quality assurance initiatives
- Support program evaluation through data collection and outcome tracking
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure program operations meet all contractual and regulatory requirements
- Participate in field-based service delivery and crisis intervention as needed
- Coordinate care with external service providers, housing agencies, and medical/mental health professionals
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- MSW or Masters in related field
- Experience working on an ACT team
