A social services agency in New York City is looking to add a new Social Work Supervisor to their growing Brooklyn Transitions Program . Working under the Program Director, the Social Work Supervisor will be responsible for ensures that clinical casework and case management services provided by the staff meet or exceed expected standards
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Contract to Perm
- Schedule: Monday to Friday and rotating weekends
- Hours: 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm (35 hours per week)
- Setting: Transitional Housing
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and manage crises.
- Represent program at meetings and trainings.
- Collaborate with service providers for safety decisions.
- Connect participants to relevant programs.
- Supervise and support staff.
- Coordinate intake and case assignments.
- Facilitate case consultations and implement SBC principles.
- Participate in clinical meetings and ongoing training.
- Complete supervisory case reviews and performance evaluations.
- Ensure safety assessments and monitor documentation.
- Maintain oversight of contractual obligations and targets.
Qualifications:
- Master's in Social Work or related field required.
- NYS Licensure preferred (LMSW, LMHC, LCAT).
- Three years of supervisory experience required; child welfare setting preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
- Availability to work at least two evenings per week.
- Strong inquiry skills and ability to share best practices.
- Commitment to strength-based, trauma-informed, and youth/family development perspectives.
- SBC certification as a supervisor or worker is a plus
