A social services agency in New York City is looking to add a new Social Work Supervisor to their growing Foster Care Program. Working under the Program Director, the Social Work Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the care management of youth in family foster care.

About the Opportunity:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: Contract to Perm
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday and rotating weekends
  • Hours: 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm (35 hours per week)
  • Setting: Transitional Housing

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations in collaboration with the Program Director
  • Manage crises, including SCR reports
  • Represent the program in ACS and GSS meetings
  • Collaborate with FSU, FCLS, and external providers
  • Support staff through home visits, court hearings, and counseling sessions
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff across counseling and case management
  • Coordinate intake and case assignment
  • Lead case consultations and ensure SBC adherence
  • Participate in CDTs and provide clinical recommendations
  • Integrate SBC into supervision and practice
  • Engage in ongoing SBC training and certification
  • Complete monthly supervisory case reviews
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations
  • Ensure safety and risk assessments are completed
  • Monitor documentation including progress notes, FASPs, and court reports
  • Track performance metrics and program utilization

Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Social Work or related field (required)
  • NYS Licensure preferred (LMSW, LMHC, LCAT)
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience (child welfare preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Strong organizational, clinical, and interpersonal skills
  • Availability for at least two evenings per week
  • Commitment to strength-based, trauma-informed, youth and family development
  • SBC certification a plus
