A respected outpatient substance use treatment center is seeking a licensed Social Worker (LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, or CASAC) to join its interdisciplinary clinical team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 10am to 6pm
  • Setting: Outpatient Recovery Clinic

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of clients receiving individual, family, and/or group therapy
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and complete admission documentation
  • Facilitate substance use recovery-focused group therapy based on population needs
  • Provide crisis interventions and safety planning as necessary
  • Conduct urine drug screenings, oral toxicology, and breathalyzer testing when needed
  • Coordinate treatment with internal medical and psychiatric team
  • Maintain accurate logs for clinic referrals and intake completions
  • Ensure compliance with all OASAS regulations and clinic protocols
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, clinical supervision, and case conferences
  • Maintain contact with mandated reporting sources (e.g., CPS, DSS, courts)
  • Collaborate with case management staff and external community support servicesMaintain timely communication with medical staff (RN, Psychiatrist) regarding client progress
  • Support a recovery-oriented clinic environment

Qualifications:

  • Active NYS licensure: LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, or CASAC (required)
  • At least 1 year of Clinical experience in Substance Use and/or Behavioral Health settings (flexibility for licensed new grads)
  • Supervision hours available for LMSWs seeking LCSW track
  • Familiarity with OASAS clinic requirements and EHR systems (e.g., DocuMed)

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of CBT, MI, harm reduction, or other evidence-based modalities
  • Familiarity with OASAS documentation standards
  • Ability to conduct therapy in various formats (1:1, group, family)
  • Solid understanding of community resources for referrals and client support
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with clinic IT systems
