A School in Rochester is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join their growing team.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 8a-4p
- Patient Population: Ages 5-22, IDD
Responsibilities:
The SLP will:- Evaluating communication skills to include: receptive language, expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, oral-motor skills and hearing.
- Developing a comprehensive service plan according to program policies and regulations, including school, outpatient, etc.
- Providing therapy as outlined by treatment plan of communication disorders of Individual Treatment Plan/Individual Education Plan.
- Maintaining professional standards in and out of the Center in compliance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Code of Ethics.
- Instructing and counseling students/clients and/or their families regarding the specific nature of their communications impairments and how to best deal with this in various speaking situations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or its equivalent in the field of Speech Pathology
- Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech/Hearing Association
- Current state Speech/Language Pathologist license
- Three+ years of experience working with children as a speech/language pathologist.
