A top Fortune 50 financial institution is currently seeking a Technology Product Analyst to join its product delivery team in a hybrid capacity. This role focuses on translating business needs into technical requirements and supporting the delivery of enterprise applications and APIs within an Agile development environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (must be local to Vienna, VA, and work onsite occasionally)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with Product Owners to translate business needs into detailed technical system requirements
- Analyzing and testing applications and APIs to understand current functionality and identify opportunities for enhancement or re-platforming
- Evaluating enterprise and vendor APIs to ensure necessary data is available to support target system capabilities
- Mapping data between interfacing systems and documenting system integration requirements
- Supporting the prioritization of features and epics in alignment with product strategy
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Writing and maintaining system requirement documentation and interface specifications
- Conducting system testing and presenting demos to internal teams and business stakeholders
- Troubleshooting production issues using logs, queries, and scenario testing
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA to ensure successful delivery
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst in a Technology or Agile Product environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI
- Familiarity with Microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience with Multi-tiered application architectures (UI, service, and data layers)
- Experience with XML and JSON data structures
- Experience with API integrations and error handling
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment managing multiple priorities
Desired Skills:
- Experience writing requirements for Mobile and/or Web applications and services
- Familiarity with external vendor systems and configurable software platforms
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Release Management
