A leading medical center in New Jersey is currently seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join their Trauma Surgery team in Neptune City. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic surgical team at a Level II Trauma Center in an inpatient setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Setting: Inpatient – Trauma Surgery
- Location: Neptune City, NJ
- Shift: 3x 12.5-hour shifts per week
- Schedule: Mix of day and night shifts (60% nights / 40% days)
- On-Call: No
- Patient Load: 10–25 patients per shift
- Procedures Required: Central line and arterial line placement
- Licensure: Active NJ license required (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities: The Physician Assistant will be responsible for:
- Managing trauma patients in an inpatient setting
- Performing procedures including central and arterial line placement
- Collaborating with surgeons and nursing staff to deliver high-quality care
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans
- Completing clinical documentation in EPIC EMR
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Traor Critical Care
- Master’s Degree and graduma Surgery uation from an accredited PA program
- Board Certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
- Active NJ license (or eligibility)
- Current CDS & DEA
- Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS
- Experience with trauma-level procedures and acute care
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work night and day shifts
Desired Skills:
- Previous inpatient hospital or trauma center experience
- Knowledge of EMR systems, preferably EPIC
- Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced clinical situations
