A leading medical center in New Jersey is currently seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join their Trauma Surgery team in Neptune City. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic surgical team at a Level II Trauma Center in an inpatient setting.

About the Opportunity:

  • Setting: Inpatient – Trauma Surgery
  • Location: Neptune City, NJ
  • Shift: 3x 12.5-hour shifts per week
  • Schedule: Mix of day and night shifts (60% nights / 40% days)
  • On-Call: No
  • Patient Load: 10–25 patients per shift
  • Procedures Required: Central line and arterial line placement
  • Licensure: Active NJ license required (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities: The Physician Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Managing trauma patients in an inpatient setting
  • Performing procedures including central and arterial line placement
  • Collaborating with surgeons and nursing staff to deliver high-quality care
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans
  • Completing clinical documentation in EPIC EMR

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Traor Critical Care
  • Master’s Degree and graduma Surgery uation from an accredited PA program
  • Board Certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
  • Active NJ license (or eligibility)
  • Current CDS & DEA
  • Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Experience with trauma-level procedures and acute care
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work night and day shifts

Desired Skills:

  • Previous inpatient hospital or trauma center experience
  • Knowledge of EMR systems, preferably EPIC
  • Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced clinical situations
  • Collaborative, team-first attitude
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
