A social services organization in NYC is actively seeking a dedicated professional to join their team as a Vocational Specialist for their Harlem ACT Team.
Hours/Shift:
35 hours, Monday to Friday
Location:
ACT Team, Field Work
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for integrating vocational goals and services with the tasks of all the ACT Team members.
- Assists through all phases of the vocational service provision.
- Performing routine clinical services as a member of the ACT Team.
- Responsibility for the recipients and for charting services.
- Responsible portion or all of creating the service plan.
- Responsible for ensuring revisions to the plan as the participant’s needs change.
- Advocating for the rights and preferences of the participant whenever possible.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Must have 2+ years experience working with persons who are seriously persistently mentally ill under the supervision of a certified rehabilitation counselor.
- Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word/Excel.
- Ability to research material via the internet.
