A social services organization in NYC is actively seeking a dedicated professional to join their team as a Vocational Specialist for their Harlem ACT Team.
Hours/Shift:
35 hours, Monday to Friday (9am-5pm)
Location:
ACT Team, Field Work
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for integrating vocational goals and services with the tasks of all the ACT Team members.
• Assists through all phases of the vocational service provision.
• Performing routine clinical services as a member of the ACT Team.
• Responsibility for the recipients and for charting services.
• Responsible portion or all of creating the service plan.
• Responsible for ensuring revisions to the plan as the participant’s needs change.
• Advocating for the rights and preferences of the participant whenever possible.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree
• Must have 2+ years experience working with persons who are seriously persistently mentally ill under the supervision of a certified rehabilitation counselor.
• Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel.
• Ability to research material via the internet.
